irrelevant, still not giving up a 1st for Rask. Goalies dont hold that sort of value, even rask.
You will get multiple middle tier pieces, not a 1st

didn't Anderson go for a first and some a few years ago? I know times of changed, but Rask is much better than him.

Rask is 33, you arent getting a 1st rounder for an extended 34 year old goalie
Freddie was an RFA and 26..that was 5 years ago.

    spot the difference

Lehner, who is younger but a rental had a return of
    Malcom Subban
    Slava Demin
    2020 2nd round pick

Thats what I mean that you are going to get a collection of mid tier assets. A 1st is too much of a pipedream for Rask at his age

Col is unlikely to move high value assets for a goaltender. So I don't see much basis on that one, and to answer the 2nd question Newhook is also almost entirely untouchable.

Also that Hall deal is far too low.

Signing Holtby would also be a massive mistake. You would be better off just running Halak as the starter.

Nurse for Debrusk is interesting but I'm not 100% set on how to evaluate that one

I disagree about Holtby, I think he would work here, but I can see the argument for him not. And I would say that is the only way Hall comes here, is that type of deal. All of this is hypothetical and highly unlikely.

Isnt the purpose of these deals to make the team better?

    Holtby is a big downgrade
Nurse a slight downgrade over Krug
Hall is better than Debrusk- but comes at a much higher pricetag( he will likely get more than you suggest), with a lot of baggage- and not a physical presence like Debrusk. Also much older.

Holtby has been declining for multiple seasons now. Every year teams make mistakes on UFA goalies but going from Rask to Holtby would be a disaster imo.

Hall will have plenty of options, and I don't see any real reason why BOS wouldn't just give him the 8 year term if they are going all in on him with so much of their core so up there in age.

A top 4 D with potential is worth more then a top 6 winger with potential. I would say Bruins would have to add a second
