Would rather keep the pick from the Pens POV, if they're adding a 2nd don't see them retaining even close to that

What would be a fair price for $5M spread over 3 years during a cap crunch? Because if it's a fourth, I don't think any team bites.

Fair enough, basically only a 700k cap difference when buried. Not sure that contract is going to get moved, I don't see the Kings taking it for a second if it's full cost.

Yeah money isn't the issue for either team, my thinking was it alleviating cap for the Penguins who still have signings to get done. If they are fine, no reason to make the trade.

Jarry is really the only signing left that's going to cost more than 1M, so if they're moving JJ it would have to be to get rid of close to the full hit so they could add something more significant than a depth piece, which they have enough of

I'd do a 3rd+4th or second with like a 5th coming back for 5 mil (cap) split over 3 years

I think the isles deal is in the ballpark, maybe not a 2021 first (maybe a 2nd or 3rd) or maybe not the retention, but not far off. Definitely valuable to move the Boychuk and leddy contracts in one move.
