Just different trades than I've seen, you're probably right with johnsson but he's young and probably good for 20 goals which I'm not sure the percentages are the wings will get a player in the second round that matches that. Also mid to.late seconds decreasing the chances more.

Like I said you're probably right they're not giving two seconds but I think wings will try to get a few players that are hitting their primes by 2023

This isn’t different, it’s the same awful goalie swap trade that avs have 0 interest in doing

Not hard to comprehend, they don’t want Freddie

Why is everyone so down on Andersen? This year wasn't great but he had arguably been the leafs MVP since he arrived, I think if you put him on a team with a capable defense he could have a top ten year. Grubauer is probably peaking at a halak, greiss solid plays in a tandem. They're both one year away from ufa and Andersen gives them a better shot at the cup imo while grubs give leads some relief for other areas

Freddie is 0-8 in playoff series clinching games with a gaa
Over 3.00 and an .880 sv%

He sucks in big playoff games, 4 years of choking and failure. That’s why

Avs don’t want leafs unwanted mess

And he's been overworked going into the playoffs typically, also I put alot of that on the team in front of them. The leafs have been built more for preseason than post season

He had a 3 month break bc of covid and still choked in game 5.
Why would the avs want a goalie the leafs can’t trust to win with

That’s why this move is so awful and dumb, if a goalie isn’t good enough on a good team why the heck would the avs want them. Grubauer has been hands down a better playoff goalie

He got hurt, that’s it. Stop trading him away got other teams problems

We can agree to disagree, but leafs have good players but are not a goOd team. Zero grit, no defensive minded players in key role. they'd fail in playoffs no matter who is in net until they build an actual.roster. see how Tampa improves when they acquired players to fill roles.

If Freddie is better then why would the leafs want for grade in net according to your logic

Again this is why it’s a dumb awful trade, there is 0 benefit for the avs

Because it saves them money, not a ton but some, to fill those roles that need it.
