Probably how a Johnson trade would work.

Depends on how Ottawa feels about Murray. He can leave ufa in one year. Signing him long term is risky coming off a down year. Especially for the 33 rd overall pick...

Yeah, I think the return is fair. Getting a#2 Dman for $4M is not easy to find, but I'm sure they want a more offensive dynamic dman.

i meant the fact that GMJR trades away his first round pick every year

Dumoulin is a one of the best defensive defenseman in the NHL. I know other teams will be offering more dynamic offensvie dman which WPG wants, but quality-wise that's a pretty fair package and A LOT more than the Pens gave up for Laine. Poulin is no joke of a prospect.
