Those are the moves - plus Dermott is still in the picture - but I think Mikheyev would demand a little more and brassard, depending on his interests, could too. 7x8.5 at Petro's structure demands seems possible though. I'd use that as a bare minimum. Still a good deal for both sides IMO

I actually don't think that the Leafs will sign him.

Although, that is a very fair offer you have here. Especially if it is front loaded with SB's.

I was thinking close to 9 million but, if they can structure it properly for AP, it may catch his interest.

My guess is he re-ups in St. Louis.

I'd love to have him, and I'd love to have him at that price.

You can’t and you won’t. This acgm does a good job at showing why.

Their forwards are quite deep. The defence is full of bottom pairing guys (Dermott, Holl, Sandin, Liljegren, Marincin, Lehtonen are examples) but they don't have enough high quality talent. I'd rather see them sign 2 defencemen like Demelo and Brodie/Gudas (or trade for one and sign one) instead of Pietrangelo but they aren't terribly far off. They need another piece or 2 on the back end.

I don't think he's going back. Blues usually don't touch signing bonuses for their players and that's what he wants, and talks seem to have broken down.

I don't think they have the right kind of bottom six players for a cup run imo

Maybe... if you mean "tough or gritty" guys you're certainly right. Hopefully that's addressed this summer.

Pretty much, I find that yes you need bottom six scoring, but you also need a line that can just go out and grind the other team and cycle them in their own zone for a few shifts a game. Keeps the play out of your end and lets your big guys rest. Also tires out other teams d( hopefully their top pair a time or two)
