Depth at C? Leon mcdavid nuge is very solid top six centre depth where does domi fit into this? Can’t be paying him what he will command to be 3c and doubt he would be thrilled with that role. Domi to Edmonton just isn’t a good fit. Too good for the one c position available and if he’s ever used as a c in top six that means two of mcdavid nuge or Leon are out at which point it wouldn’t really matter who plays where winning is almost out of the question.

I think the Hoffman thing has a lot to do with the issues he had in Ottawa with Karlsson. TBH I was not sold on Hoffman for the same reasons. Then I did some digging into it. Turns out according to the Ottawa Citizen that Karleson's wife filed for a restraining order based on some threats and bullying she received online from someone she thought was Hoffman's GF at the time, now wife. The restraining order was never filed and Mrs. Hoffman then hired an investigator to look into the cyber bullying and it concluded that the threats did not come from the Hoffman's IP address. Does this mean it wasn't Mrs. Hoffman certainly not but it is unlikely. As such I have altered my opinion of getting Hoffman as there has been no such issues in Florida and it seems more like the accusations were unfounded. Therefore I would not be opposed to signing Hoffman.

Out of all the media outlets around Ottawa is one I personally have the least trust in. Personally I think it’s very obvious and wrong that the media there seems to go well out of its way to turn fans against ownership there because of a grudge. I actually side with ownership on that one they use to be one of the only teams that would allow media to join the team on road trips but they kept releasing every bad storyline until ownership finally put an end to that and ever since I feel they only got worse. I think it’s very unfortunate a local media outlet would act as they do not sure what goal is at the end of the day try to force selling of the team but if that happens VERY much risking loosing the team altogether. I wish for the good of the team there fans would boycott the citizen.

It wasn't just the Citizen's report that changed my opinion. Here are the facts that changed my view:

1. The Karlsson's aplied for but never filed the protection order.
2. The Hoffman's investigations proved that the threats did not originate from their UP address.
3. None of the Senators, NHL or NHLPA found enough evidence to launch an investigation into the matter.
4. The Hoffman's have requested all evidence from the Karlsson's showing where Mrs. Hoffman was responsible for the threats but the Karlsson's have not produced such evidence. Again this does not mean that Mrs. Hoffman didn't send the threats it is just suspicious.
5. The fact that there have been no issues in Florida between Hoffman and any teammates.
6. The Ottawa Citizen's story.
