I think Halak and Grub are more of a 1A/1B combo that cost a lot less. IMO the downgrade in goal is easily made up for with the upgrade on the blue line and forward depth

I don't disagree with this. I was looking for a way to add both Hall and OEL as I think it would legitimately round out their team and Rask was the most logical choice to move. I think with Halak Grubauer's inconsistencies are less of a problem and I think the additions up front and on the blue line make this team much better. They probably do have to expose Grzelcyk in expansion but I think that is ok if they can pay Seattle off to take someone else.

That doesn't mean anything. If you are offered 1 year of Rask you take it and that price for him is fairly generous

So when Sakic said he wasn’t going to trade Duchene till he got an offer we shouldn’t have listened. Sakic doesn’t use the media to misdirect.
