I just don’t understand the mentality. You have a guy who can play in the top 4 for 2m and you trade him for virtually nothing.

You know, I like this but if I'm the Sharks GM I'd change the requirements to either something like "40 points and 20 goals" or "Johnsson plays at least 50 games and Sharks make the 2nd round of the playoffs" if you want our 2nd for him. We're going to need to replenish our cupboards with prospects for the future and that 2nd ain't gonna come easy.

I made a team where actually I was able to bring in Hamonic and Demelo and still keep Holl. Sure it meant moving Kerfoot, Johnsson, and Engvall but it worked lul.

3. Holl was better last year and half the price at least.

In fact Holl was a lot better than many leafs trade targets on here. I think leaf fans don’t wTch enough games out west.

Leafs need to add one good rhd or nothing at all. They certainly don’t need to trade any.

I did it so the dcore can have some major depth. Plus i like Hamonic and I feel he and rielly could do some damage. The other guy I would not mind to get his Braun. In general this allows for toronto to be good even with injuries because should someone get injured (say Hamonic) Demelo can go with Rielly, Holl back with Muzzin and either sandin, liligren, or rosen can be the filler.

The other idea was trade for Demers (arizona retains) and we use him as a rental than move on with liligren potentially being ready by 2022. But from what im hearing everyone could be on the table so who knows Dubas could go in on a Chycrun deal.

I mean yeah, Vegas is a great fit for petro and vice versa. Does that mean he’s going to Vegas? Or that the blues won’t sign him? Or that teams line philly Calgary leafs and stars are out if the running? Certainly not.

It doesn’t take much more than a quick thumb through his 31 thoughts to see that his opinion is just that. Certainly an informed opinion. If he has inside info he lets it be known. That is money in the bank.

Leafs have 3 perfectly fine nhl replacement players not on this list and 3m to spend. Assuming Dermott Signs his QO and Mikheyev takes 1.75m.

Dubas will probably get some more league min depth for the blueline that can jump in as well.

Me personally, if the deal isn’t there add Lilly and see what happens in season. Let some cap space accrue.

If the right deal is out there add a good Dman. If you are moving Holl or Dermott it should be to acquire a sure upgrade. Not a maybe.

dermotts most likely getting traded. With Lehtonen being most likely taking on the 3rd pair LD and after that Sandin Dermott really does not have a spot. Sure he can play on the right but I feel Dubas wants to bring 2 experienced true top 4 guys with Holl moving down to the 3rd pairing. As for what Dubas wants back for dermott no idea.

They may. But it will be to upgrade. Dubas is far better at managing assets then leafs fans on cap friendly.

Dermott has looked great in the top 4 and can okay the right.... so let’s trade him for a 3rd when we spent a 2nd and developed him into a competent nhler.
