Joseph Blandisi has signed a new contract with the Montreal Canadiens.

AHL signing. Hopefully he can continue what he started here last season.

He was called up and forced to drive across the state of Pennsylvania like a dozen times last year. Dude has some stability now since Laval is basically next to Montreal.

They’re only about 300 metres apart, so it’s basically the same place.

He was really close to breaking out offensively as a member of the Devils a few seasons ago. He scored some highlight goals 15-16, especially down the stretch once the team was out of playoff contention. He just never really developed into a consistent defensive 3rd liner. Obviously he's been stuck in the minors since. He seems like a good dude and a good teammate. He works hard.
