If we're giving up Pulock and Beau we better get Laine

I don't agree. Connor is equally as good if not better, but I do think that Laine may be the better fit for a few reasons:
1) Can play both LW/RW
2) We need more right-handed shots
3) Trotz had success with Ovechkin, he should have equal success with Laine

But don't sleep on Connor, he's a beast.

That all being said, I've said this a few times about NYI-WPG trades. We are great trading partners, but only for blockbusters. I think I'd rather keep Pulock and Beau (especially Beau), but I don't know I'm torn. This is such good value and makes so much sense.

Sure but I'd pay less for Ehlers. I'm higher on Connor and Laine. But Ehlers would fit really nicely.

I dont mind the PHI offer, but it needs to be reworked a bit. Patrick might not play in the NHL again...way too big of a questions mark. Replace him with a 2020 1st and Frost with Myers

I think if Konecny is the main piece going back you'd only get one of Myers or a 1st, definitely not both

You're probably right. I guess Im thinking that if he is available there would be a bidding war of sorts which would drive the value up. I dont know haha

hey Im not a fan of either team and dont see those players regularly enough to really have a full grasp of their contributions that can most certainly go beyond the pts production and stats (kinda like Gallagher in mtl ) but from an outside view connor > beauvillier by a decent margin and Pionk = pulock are fairly even also from what im hearing wpg needs a center and im pretty sure if they move a piece like connor theres gotta be a top 6 center coming back

I agree, I'd rather sign Barrie and do that trade than add Beau and get Pionk. I like Pionk, but Barrie can play the top-pairing minutes better than Pionk.

They definitely would, and Barrie could help our PP. He's definitely not as good as Pulock, but would be a nice replacement if Pulock is traded for a scorer.
