Some weird comparisons. Laine and Pulock play completely different positions.

Jones is simply the most overrated player in the league, everyone points to his TOI, but doesn't realize that he's not that good in most of those minutes (and doesn't have insanely hard QoC)

Pulock is a good number 1, and Jones is far from a monster, he may play a ton of minutes, but he also isn't that effective in most of them (and doesn't have insanely hard QoC like some people think)

And Demelo is a high end 3 at worst, he's the jets best d man (by a decent margin) already... I mean ik that's a low bar, but still

He’s not the jets best d-man lol. Morrissey and pionk are miles ahead of him. Playing defense isn’t the only job a defensemen team has. I’m not saying demelo is bad but u seriously overrate him

playing defense is the number 1 thing I value in a defenseman, and he's far better defensively than either JoMo or Pionk are better than him offensively

Ok, I couldn't care less what GM's think, these are the same people who sign Matheson to 8 year contracts, then trade for said contract, and sign aging and regressing d men to 8-11 mil contracts, and trade Joki for Nylander etc

Dude is probably at his peak, the average skater peaks at 24, even if defensemen peak later he'll be 26 by next season, I'd say he's at 99.9% of his peak, and he's really not dominant at both ends, he's solid offensively, and meh defensively, Gavrikov Savard and Werenski are better defensively than he is

Also LMAO he does everything while on the ice (hitting, defending, attacking, moving the puck, etc) where has Werenskj, well, wouldn’t look like an elite defender without SJ because he’s not at that level yet, Savard doesn’t do much besides defending and Gravrikov was sheltered... in a very good part, by the SJ you think is overrated

He does everything well except actually prevent chances (and goals) against (and isn't that good at getting those chances or goals himself)
