Take out Bennett and Flames still decline, you arent getting Lindholm with KK or Zib going the other way

Yup big time overpayment by the Rangers.

Big thing with Lindholm is that he is elite on the PK and the only right handed shot on the PP. The value may not be crazy off but the holes that it opens up in special teams specifically would not be easy to overcome.

Thank you for actually having a legit comment, this is a very valid claim, I know an overpayment would be the only way you guys would move him, would it be better if I took out Bennett so you guys could still have him on the pk?

Bennett is not a PK specialist, hes ok on it I guess. Lindholm is basically a slightly worse version of Marner but can take face offs, hit 30 goals and cost 1/3 in cap. He is far too important to the organization and team to move at all

Hahah good call, just thought he was a good defensive player and a body bruiser (when he needs to) so he would be able to take up some pk time

I was gonna get into how there are minimally 30 forwards that are better than him (there is more and I can list them)..

but quite frankly, lets look at the last two years of stats for Zibanejad and Lindholm

Lindholm
18-19: 81 GP: 27-51-78
19-20: 70 GP: 29-25-54 (over 82 games this pace would be 63 points)

Zibanejad
18-19: 82 GP: 30-44-74
19-20: 54 GP: 41-34-75 (over 82 games this pace is 113)

Yeah, lets trade a 113 point pace #1 center for a #2 center / wing whose best season was a 78 point pace). Also, LOL at him being worth the most recent 2nd overall pick.

2nd line center for a 2nd line winger, a PP QB 2nd line defenseman (he had more ATOI per game than Fox), a very good prospect in chytil that has two years in the NHL that JUST TURNED 21 this month), a decent prospect in Andersson who has been on fire since going back to the SHL (had 12 points in 15 games last year, and started this year off on fire (while having almost a 70% faceoff win rate). \

I don't want Bennett at all, but if you say you need a much better player for Lindholm, keep your 2c and we can offer sheet Cirelli for less

Glad we agree, Flames simply arent trading Lindholm for anything but a massive overpayment. Which this is not.
