You can think that but Bergevin got a 2nd for Scandella, dont think he accepts less for a better, younger player on a cheap contract. Will admit though Buffalo 2nd is about 15 spots higher then a Blues 2nd

Scandella was traded at the trade deadline while on an expiring contract that was 50% retained. He cost the blues a couple hundred thousand dollars.

Montreal has Chariot, Mete, just traded for and signed Edmundson and signed Romanov, all on the left side. Plus they still have to pay Alzner. Moving Kulak makes all the sense in the world and he will come cheap.

sure we are. If his performance was so great, why'd you go out and trade for and sign Edmundson?

Kulak played 17 minutes a night and you effectively replaced him already.

Why will he come cheap? Bergevin guys cheap and sells high, has his whole time in MTL. They have the money to spend, they have their number of contracts under control and no reason to settle for less.

It's called a depth player. Every teams need some.

Not interested to trade him. Not for that cheap offer anyway.

Jealous? Good. Now pay up.

Don’t want to? Fine
1. Depth for injuries protection.
2. Versatility, since at least 2 of them can play right side.
3.Opportunity to make a better trade than your weak offer.
4.Protection against the expansion draft.

So everything is fine in Montreal defense. How's Buffalo Dcore doing? 🙊

How are they playing on the right side when you already have Weber and petry?

you might be fine with the 50 contracts rule, but you only get to carry 23 players on the NHL roster and there is a salary cap.

Good luck moving depth players for value during a salary cap freeze. As of right now you have 10 million in cap space and have 4 roster spots to fill. This includes signing Domi.

But you do gotta love this site, arguing over a random player for random draft picks.

Oh no... I don't think anyone is jealous of the Habs left side outside of Romanov.

OK now you have my attention.
If you think Kulak is worth a 2nd, great that is your opinion.

How is Buffalo's defense, you ask sarcastically with a smirk!
I would imagine if Buffalo had Price in net, they would rank even higher.
Regardless, with Ullmark and Hutton in net, arguable the worse GK tandem in the NHL, only 9 teams gave up fewer 5 on 5 goals, and all of them were in the playoffs.
Let me add Montreal did a much better job of controlling the puck than Buffalo ranking 2nd in shots attempt, while Buffalo was 2nd last.
Yet, Buffalo defense gave up fewer 5 on 5 goals than Montreal.
Where did Montreal's 5 on 5 GA rank? Nineteenth, I guess I should ask, "How's Montreal's Dcore doing?" Not as well as Buffalo's is the obvious answer.
I think one should know the answer before asking a question that just demonstrates ones lack of knowledge.

It makes total sense to trade for Kulak then, so that MTL 7th Dman can help improve BUF amaaaaazing top 4...

LOL, I guess you missed my second sentence, so let me repeat it "If you think Kulak is worth a 2nd, great that is your opinion."

You made a sarcastic comment,
I gave you evidence to dispute your comment,
you do not reply to my rebuttal of your obviously false opinion,
then make another sarcastic comment to a different persons opinion.

So because you obviously missed the purpose of my post here it is again "I guess I should ask, "How's Montreal's Dcore doing?""
By all measures, it pales in comparison to Buffalo's.

But since you bring up Kulak, he definitely would be in the press box nearly every night if he was in a Buffalo uniform and not play 56 games averaging 17:08/gm
He does not KP, he gets sheltered starts only Fluery had a higher % of OZstart and only Petry had a lower PDO.
Kulak would not be my choice of 7th defenseman for the Sabres, much less top 4.
If you want to comment to Little do it.
If you want to comment to me, I welcome it, but you have not.
I doubt you will because everything I said it accurate.

Sure, just block then,'
I guess you missed my point that I was defending your point of view.
So, even though I avoid making negative comments about your posts your just continue to do to mine.
Block me because you cannot even see when when I am defending your point of view.
PLEASE BLOCK ME.
DO IT NOW.

No i think if the person doesn't want to be tagged, dont tag them. It shouldnt be up to him to block you as a result.

Tagging someone usually is only done if you know the other party wants you to. Dont continue to do it if they've repeatedly asked you not to.

Well you are correct. He will get his way and I will not tag him any more.
TBH, I know he hates me.
I tag him when and only when I agree with him.
I avoid commenting on his posts except to agree and only give him likes when he says something intelligent.
I am actually trying to repair what ever reason he hates me, and tag him when I am defending him or agree with his point of view.
I think, but I am not sure, he has a different opinion of Botterill than I and holds a grudge.
Regardless, he could block me and finish the discussion.
Funny, I got into a long back and forth with someone over a year ago about Murray.
I was attempting to make a point that the team would have been better off without him.
While the discussion did not get personal, I felt he/she was missing my point of view and making things up.
I got upset and blocked him.
Later, as I read more of his comments, he turned into one of the more knowledgeable AGM posters and I had to unblock him.
I never blocked any one again.
As i said, I tag him only when I agree or try to defend him. I will not any more.
