It's not close and we would never accept this deal. Domi is a small, soft, locker room cancer whose about to be on his 3rd team in 3 years, while mantha is about to become one of the top power forwards in the league. You can say whatever you want, we would never accept Domi as part of a return for mantha.

We aren't looking to trade mantha either, this means that if you want him you will have to significantly overpay, and domi is not it

Detroit has every right to ask for an over payment, especially if they don't want to move him, but utterly ridiculous to say that the value isn't close. Domi has out performed Mantha each of the last 2 years and plays a tougher position than Mantha, even so I would have no problem saying Montreal has to add something. But a first in this years draft and a 3rd next years swings this deal to an overpay by Montreal if anything. To have you say this proposal is not even close for Detroit shows that you are either a pure homer or just not very hockey savvy.

What we are saying for the last 6 weeks is, that we want no part of domi. So that Is the main reason, there are also other intangibles besides scoring that makes domi's value less then manthas.

Bottom line is we have 0 and I mean 0 desire or want for Domi, so this trade is massively bad with the notion that under no circumstances would we take Domi as part of a return for mantha. Once the Habs fans figure this out and understand this as well as we are not trading mantha. The only way we would be if we got an offer that makes it virtually impossible not to trade him, there will be no trade.
