Highly doubt Nashville is interested in moving Ekholm, great defender on an even better contract.

I don't think they're actively looking to trade him, but it's entirely possible if the right offer came along. This is definitely not that offer though.

Ill admit my value is off. I made the move because with the seattle draft coming up, they're pretty much forced to trade one of their top 4 guys or lose one unless they go 4-4 which is awful imo. Here they can now protect the top two in Josi and Ellis, as well as their young gun in Fabbro

Personally I think it's smarter to move Ekholm before expansion, but NSH protected four dmen last time, and could well be comfortable doing it again. I think the Muzzin trade is a good starting point when looking at an Ekholm trade. Ekholm and Muzzin are pretty comparable defensemen. Ekholm is a little older than Muzzin was at the time, and makes a little less than Muzzin did. TOR gave up a 1st and two prospects who were recent 2nd round picks (I don't think the Kings decided on great prospects there, but they're the guys LA wanted), for half a season of Muzzin. With two full years left Ekholm should command a better return. I recently proposed Ekholm for PIT's 2020 1st, Liljegren, Abruzzese, & a 6th. The return for Ekholm still feels a little light, in comparison to Muzzin, but I think that's the minimum it would take to sway NSH.

no offense i wouldn't touch your ekholm deal with a 10 foot pole. Liljegren is so slept on value wise and abruzzese is nuts.

None taken. I feel the same about your Johnsson and 2021 1st offer, TBH. NSH isn't actively shopping Ekholm, so a buyer should expect to pay a hefty price for him. Given his cap hit and talent, I think it's a more than fair offer, but to each their own.
