Very hard pass for the Flames. When I see posts like this I am always curious, who would you compare Jordan Harris to in today's NHL?

Ryan Ellis if he plans out I'd say.

So why on earth would you trade him if you have a Ryan Ellis in the system?!

1. I didn't, OP did. In fact, I haven't added him in any of AGM's and I've made alot-I've tossed his name around in chats like this though.
2. you asked who does he compare to? not who will he become? he's a very good prospect but he isn't anywhere yet.

It's a terrible comparison imho... Ryan Ellis once scored 36goals Jordan Harris has never surpassed 7. Yes SEVEN goals. Harris will not be anything more than a Nathan Beaulieu.

I hate when people compare upcoming D to Ellis... He was legitimately one of the best OHL defensemen in the last 15years, and not to mention his WJC pedigree. Truly is one of a kind.

Oh exactly. To say a college prospect that isn’t Jack Eichel is going to be one of the best in the game in insanity. People didn’t think Johnny Gaudreau was going to be anything until he was. If this Harris kid was as good as Habs fans are claiming here then he would be one of the most talked about highly touted around the league and they wouldn’t be including him in their posts. instead they have at best a Brandon Montour at worst a nice piece to send to Europe in a couple years.

Hmmm I've never noticed Ellis's monster season here;
2010-11 Windsor Spitfires OHL 58 24 77 101 61 24 18 6 13 19 12(final season in OHL)
But he never scored 36 goals this was his most, and Harris never scored 7 goals, 3 was his most.
While it is a huge difference playing in the OHL vs NCAA, I will now admit and agree that Harris is nowhere near the pedigree of Ellis.
It is very hard to compare prospects to NHL players-I was going more based off of size, skating, and puck-moving ability.

Very easy no from Winnipeg.

Both trades are assuming both WPG and CAL are running out of options for change. I am obviously aware this **** would never happen, kind of like literally every 'Armchair GM' on this site.

Kinda useless to say 'Easy no for, ____ would never take that!, etc..' because quite frankly; you all know just as much as me. Nobody here is Steve Yzerman's uncle, nobody is Lou Lamorello's nephew, so please, rest of the community on this site, realize: YOU KNOW NOTHING.

Still a very easy no for Winnipeg. If that garbage was all that was available the Jets would just keep him.

I was talking about their Pre-draft years; since yes OHL and NCAA are quite different. Harris didn't even score goals in HS, whereas Ellis was smokin em

YES! The Return of the Troll... that "garbage" you referred to just so happens to be a top 5 defensive C in the league, the 16OA which every hockey fan with sense knows will turn out to be a good player in this years stacked draft, and a 25 year old Drouin who has yet to enter his prime but is still a 50pt player with 60-65pt upside if he stays healthy. Keep on hating tho Windy it will be fun to see your reaction when he finally is traded and your team takes less return than this lmao

But you do?

Are you related to Marc Bergevin? Was your father an NHL GM for a decade? Do you get intel from direct team sources?

The answer to those questions is no. So for you to tell someone that they 'lack hockey knowledge', who are you to say that? What do you know? Literally, and most probable, the exact same amount as me! Or in this case, TheGHANDI90.

This weird hockey-boy mentality of: "you're so dumb for ever thinking this is possible, you have no hockey knowledge, you're delusional, etc.'

Like bro, look in the mirror: what makes you so qualified to be able to see what's possible and what's not? Did you think COVID-19 was possible? How about the Weber for Subban trade? Don't pretend you expected that! Therefore, get off your 'Hockey Knowledge' high horse and start seeing this the right way which is: I know nothing, you know nothing. Let's have fun.

Windy-you find yourself arguing with a lot of people on here. I wonder why that is?
Could it be that everybody is wrong? or just you?

like this guy, and I have suggested in the past; if/when Laine is traded you are going to be very upset with the return.

I think it's because most people don't like hearing the truth. All of them being Habs homers though.
Some of these guys actually believe that a rental, a problem winger that the Jets don't need and a nothing winger prospect the Jets don't need will get them one of the top young goal scoring wingers in the league. While people with common sense understand there's is virtually no chance of that happening.
