If it were up to me and I was head coach, I'd rotate Staal and Kahun depending on their play per week, not game, gotta give guys chances, and not for one night, one game doesn't define your style of play, I believe at the very least, 15 to 20 games should define where you should be on a team

The avs aren't utilizing Timmons anyways and do have cap space for next season, if I turned that 3rd into this year's 2nd, would that do?

How in the world are the avs not utilizing Timmins? This response might be worse than the trade

Avs aren’t moving Timmins in lack luster trades like this

Don't really care what the wings say, noticed every wings fans want way too much per player, you're probably going to say that we can have Perlini or Erne for this deal, that a huge lowball and if I was GM of the Sabres and Yzerman told me that (as much as I love and respect the guy) I'd spit back into his face, bottom line, wings fans will always ask for WAY too much per player, or even a late pick

Gonna cost at least this year's first + something. It's too long if a contract for way too high a cap hit

Then don't make trades with our team when you know it won't fly. The problem is we aren't taking your Terrible contract that is 50 more years at 200 million a year for free. You can either pay us something of value or keep it

Playing 2 nhl games since his draft really isn't utilizing him dude, that actually does bring a guy's hopes down and makes him a worse hockey player than he actually is

For free? You're getting a first round pick, and with Ullmark and Hutton still in net, that's most likely a top 20, very well could be a top 10, and the pick isn't even top 10 protected

We need better/different then that. 2 years of Loui costs one of demko/dipietro and a 2nd. So 4 years of okposo will cost more. Gotta give something to get what you want. Next year's draft isn't deep at all, getting a 10-15 pick prob doesnt help us when we have 4 years of okposo. So it's gotta be more

I'll give you the concussion part, but I still don't see the Avs using him considering they've got Makar, Zadorov, Graves, Byram, Johnson and Girard on the blue line

He played his first pro season of hockey and played in the playoffs this year

Avs are trading zadorov or graves this offseason. Byram is starting his season in Sweden

He’s not being wasted it’s called developing and being protective of a top prospect

If you don’t know about another team don’t make wild non sensical claims like you did doubling down on bad logic

Man... All this for a 5th? You yourself can keep your 5th, but I know for a fact that Yzerman would love that 1st being thrown at him, if you think a 1st rounder wouldn't help your team, you can hand over every first you got, and for every 5th I've got

First of all, I do know that everyone is going over to Europe, and I mean EVERYONE, so many great young players would have had a really good year this up coming season(if there's even going to be a season) so much young talent is just being shipped off to Europe and IMO, that will make the European leagues more interesting, probably more interesting than the NHL which is hard and sad to say, the KHL is already becoming pretty interesting, the SHL will be just as interesting, way too much talent just being shipped over because of the pandemic when they could have stayed home and work on their game here in NA, with the possibility of being called up(another big if there's going to be a season)

That's not what I said, I said we need something/better different then the first that may be the 3rd pick overall or could be the 22nd. This year's first is guaranteed at 8 to be something. People took a first for a year of marleau/backes. How do you figure in a flat cap/cut cost year that the same first buys you 4 years. It's just not reasonable when looking at the current state of the nhl and how cap space is a weapon. It's going to cost you a lot to dump him. It's ok if you don't agree, you can keep your player, we will keep our pick and cap space and hold out for a deal where someone is forced to pay us what we want for taking a bad deal.

You are claiming avs are wasting and don’t have room for Timmins yet you trade him for another dman

How do the avs room have montour if they don’t have room for Timmins, give your head a shake

Because I'd take Montour over Cole anyway, even if Cole has a cup ring already, Cole isn't really that good in today's game, not saying Montour is any better but I'd still take the guy over Cole, I think the Avs should really let go of Cole and move on from him, unless Graves or Zadorov is traded

Doesn't matter value is still there. So by the logic of 4 years vs one year and it has to be ahead. 1 year if backes and 1 year of marleau for firsts for the following year. So for each year we got a first, we won't take a first this year and take your next 4, one for each year.

Just give it up man, you will have to give up way more to get rid of that contract, you obviously don't think it's worth it, so no trade and you keep your player, everyone parts happily that they didn't make the deal and move on.
