Let me explain. I know it looks like the arizona trade is unbalanced and heavily favours the leafs however there was a report that they were late to paying their players due to their financial situation. As well as thay have the least amout of cap space for next year so this does clear up cap space without trading your best defensemen ( OEL) which I never understood why they were rumoured to. Also Freddie's is only owed 1m dollars in real money for his last year and is still a quality goalie. Dermott I think playing on the leafs left side where they already have many options, has not been able to reach his pontenial. If you disagree with any of these instead of saying ArIzOnA laughs, tell me what you would change. SIde note, I do not think if the leafs sign fast he will start on the fourth line, but I saw nordstrom and larsson were swedish so I wanted a swedish line. Side note 2, I do not think we will get Petro nor should sign him and I dont understand why people want to sign a guy on the wrong side of 30 to a seven year deal.
