Description

Studnicka thrown into the fire. If he struggles drop him to L3 or make a trade for a vet 2/3C plenty of cap space to do so at the deadline. Nurse on top pair with Mcavoy would be awesome. Puljujarvi wants out and could be a fit in Boston. He had an excellent year in Finland and still only 22 years old. This all contingent on signing Taylor Hall. And deal with expansion draft when the time comes regarding losing one of Lauzon/Grzelcyk. Maybe give Grzelcyk no move clause?

Just play him at the right spot to start with?? And keep Krejci if it's going to work out.

Nurse isn't a top pair D; he would be with Carlo and Grzelcyk-McAvoy is the pairing to do with. You're going to protect Nurse over Grzelcyk?
No competent GM will give a 3rd for Ritchie.

Stop what? Grzelcyk is more likely to play better with McAvoy because they've already played together (in NCAA and NHL), they've done good job playing together and having a defenseman that can defend/not be a liability will let McAvoy actives and joins more offensives rushes. You're getting stopped at pts and he's 6' 4" and that's it

So I like griz too but I think moving him up with Carlo is the right move. As good as hes played hes played primarily 3rd pair a bit sheltered minutes with Clifton or miller primarily. I'm not saying we need to get nurse but id like to find someone who fits with macavoy that can let the kid push the puck up the ice a bit more.

Im not a huge nurse guy but I think mac has the offense in him. Some guys it just takes a bit longer for it all to develop. Macavoy reminds me alot of a guy like hedman. He was real good right away and good in his own zone but it took a while for the offense to catch up.

Desperate to get the playoffs, yes. But Krejci is like the opposite of what we need to do so. We can’t afford him in the slightest and the flat cap just solidifies that. We’ll take Kase for a 2nd but he’s about the only piece Boston has that we can afford and might want.

I like grizz like I said I just want him with Carlo on the 2nd pair. I think its a better fit for him. I wouldnt be shocked to see him with mac depending on who they bring in on the ld. Id say its griz and vaak but maybe chara is back too and Moore (lol)

Nurse is just better. I like Grizz but as 2nd pair guy not a first. I'm assuming you watched game 5 OT game vs TB? Maroon planted his fat ass in front of the net on the winner. Krug tried his hardest to move him, had no chance. That would be Grzelcyk also. Nurse punishes Maroon on that play. You need big, strong dmen to win playoff hockey. You can get away with one pint sized dman but not more than that imo. Analytics won't tell you that. Free tip.
