This should be the contracts of the "big four" and the team in 2020.
If i was GM this NO BEARDS and have a TOUGH hockey market in Toronto because someone needs to knock some sense into this team.

So what you're saying is you would have let Nylander, Marner, and Matthews each sit out for a year because you wouldn't give them the contracts they wanted, and you would have let Tavares sign in San Jose for the 7-year @ $14M contract they offered him? Got it.

-the AM AAV is nice, it's the term that's awful. 11,6 mil per for 8 years would be 100% fine.
-the MM AAv isn't terrible (10 mil would be better tho), but again the term is bad, 8 years would be better
-no need for signing JT, just keep Kadri and try to get Bozak to sign a hometown discount deal, like 2 years at 5 mil per or 3 years at 4 mil per.

To low on Marner. Rantanen got 9.25 mill for 6 years and had 87 points while marner had 94 points and your expecting to pay him less yeah right.

no the rfas i forgot to say they signed on july 1st 2019 and tavares woudnt of signed in san jose cause he wanted to come home

He wanted to come home if the price was right. He wasn't about to leave $40M+ on the table.

Point is, you can say "this is what I would have signed them to if I was GM", but it doesn't actually mean anything. If that's what was offered then Marner and Nylander probably would have held out longer, Tavares wouldn't have signed, and Matthews probably would have held out.

Matthews would have been in vancouver as rumor had it they were prepared to pay him 15mill and were getting the money ready

he has a wife and child to support lul. Besides got no problems with him as he is the hardest working on the team and sure the cap hit sucks but he has been great with us.

people are bored and waiting on Dubas to make another move. The pitrangelo talks grinding to a halt really screwed up his plans it seemed. Cause a week earlier Lebrun mention dubas was in talks with the blues on Parayko. Than the pitrangelo story came out and now everything has gone quiet.

Sorry, I guess I was a bit harsh. I think they are worth JT at 10.5, Matthews at 11 mil, Nylander at 7, Marner at 9.5. Now if I was the GM, I wouldn't have kept Nylander when he held out. My point was, with the money you are saying here, they wouldn't have signed. Simple as that.
