That’s really bad for Detroit. Remember that Zetterberg only has 1 year left and he’s on LTIR, so getting rid of him does nothing for us. Ladd on the other hand has 3 years left and is not on LTIR. To dump him it would cost significantly more than a 1st

I think my favorite part about these low ball cap dump trades is that the other team always has to give up a 7th. Kings decline, a 5th isn't enough to take on multiple years of a bad contract.
