Description
I have no idea where Leddy could go for just. Slick so I tried to find the best fit.
If Lou is hot on Laines trail, I think Pulock is the piece wpg would want in return

I don’t think there’s a team right now that would want Leddy or Cizikas’s deal without a sweetener, let alone giving up assets for them. Also Pulock is a very good player, but Laine is an elite rare talent and it’s gonna take a lot more than that to get him.

Pulock would be interesting, but not for Laine. Bailey turning 31 in October would keep him from being a main piece for Laine.

Leddy played extremely well in the playoffs, hes a guy with over 100 playoff games and making a reasonable 5.5M for a good 2 way defenseman. Not finding that in UFA for much less than 5.5M. As for Cizikas he is an elite defensive player who is capable for 15-20 goals a year if healthy lmao

Lol cizikas is a high end 3C with a 3.35 mill cap hit for 1 more season. No way they would have to add a sweetener, 10+ teams would be interested.

In no galaxy in this universe is cizikas anywhere close to a high end 3C. He's a 4C, at best.

Wrong. He’s a top 10-15 shutdown center in the league and his underlying numbers offensively are great.

Do you have anything to prove me wrong, or are you just going to give a subjective take and double down?

His underlying numbers lol. That was good thanks.

He's topped out at 10 goals his entire career, with last year being the major exception. He's 3C on a very shallow Islanders team, but there is absolutely nothing to suggest that he is a "high end 3C" on a legitimate contender. That's like me saying Glendening is a high end 3C because he's a top 10-15 shutdown center and plays on the even shallower Wings.

He's a very nice 4C - don't overrate the players that you watch the most.

Maybe you should have a better argument as to why cizikas isn’t a high end 3C. You’ve proved nothing.

You’re the one that called them shallow - I’m not sure if you even used the word in the right context, but Im interested in hearing why you called them that.

Shallow - After Barzal (and Eberle, somewhat) their talent level drops off a cliff. They win with fantastic coaching, defensive structure and blue-collar guys like Cizikas/Clutter/Brock that keep the puck out of the net enough to allow them hang in games against any opponent. The majority of their forward group is made up of slightly overpaid 3rd and 4th liners, but they make it work. That is why they are completely overmatched on paper by a team like Tampa but they're scrappy enough to keep it close. On a team deep with talent Cizikas is a 4th line center because he matches up well but does not provide much offensively. This is how the league works.

Shallow.

Anthony Beauvillier would be the best lw on the redwings - he had the best offensive and defensive metrics of all isles wingers and had the 3rd best season in the last 5 years finishing on his backhand. The only player who has done better is brad Marchand, but keep talking like you know it all lmao. Brock Nelson is a blue collar guy?? He had more goals than Dylan Larkin this season and was on pace for 65 points in trotz overrated defensive system which holds players back.

The coaching isolates had trotz system having the 18th best impact out of 31 teams, but yeah keep thinking trotz is the reason why they made it to the ECF.
