its just not worth it for the avs without a long term contract in place. Especially when he is going score a bunch playing on the avs and will likely command a huge raise. Also dont think you could get him without byram involved

Avs don't need middle 6 LW's like Johnsson. Prefer getting picks back for Zadorov.

Winnipeg would never do that trade because there's no 2C or prime bluechipper involved in the trade.

As for the roster itself, removing Johnson without replacing him with anyone other than two rookies would be extremely risky if not naive.
