I would, but Jets fans wouldn’t. A lot of them really want Lundell at 10, and rightfully so. He would immediately solve the 2C issue. I think they will either draft him or Jake Sanderson.

They would need a decent prospect/young player to accompany the pick. I assume Roslovic is the starting point.

I think it’s interesting for both sides. Jets only do this if there isn’t a top C or Sanderson left on the board.

I also think MIN doesn’t do this if there’s no top C left on the board, wild don’t need another winger.

They could use Quinn.

My theory is that the Wild want Askarov AND a top C. In this scenario, they'd probably take Lundell (if available at 9) and then offer to trade Dumba for 10 OA so they can get him as well. That's just my theory, but I think it's a solid one.

This makes sense and honestly if I’m wpg and the C’s are off the board and Sanderson is gone I’m making this trade

Honestly I probably wouldn’t. I really like Sanderson and think he has legit top pairing upside, and Lundell is still my favourite target. If both of those guys are off the board then that means someone like Rossi/Perfetti would have dropped, which is more intriguing then Dumba

I don't think Jets touch this with a 100 foot pole. Dumba is damaged goods until he can prove that he's not. A 2022 1st, I 'd think about it but no way would I move 10OA for him and 2021 is supposed to be a strong draft as well so I wouldn't move next year's first either.

A deal around Roslovic or Vesalainen, sure. Laine or Ehlers or 10OA are easy no's.

You really think that if Lundell or the other top C’s as well as Sanderson are off the board the Jets wouldn’t take this? They need a top 4 RHD with a booming shot for the PP. they don’t need another winger or Askarov which is what they’d get at 10OA in this scenario.

I really think that trading 10OA is way too much for Dumba so yeah, they shouldn't do this. Let me ask you this, if Laf and all of Byfield, Stutzle, Rossi, Perfetti, Lundell, Drysdale, Sanderson, are all gone at 10OA, which is actually likely IMO, should we take a winger or Askarov, target a C from the next tier (Javis, Lapierre, Mercer, Halloway, Zary) or trade back and then take a C from the next group?

I know what I would do, but trading the pick for player that was good, but maybe isn't anymore that would need protection in the expansion draft isn't it.

He really was. Has he been the same since the pec injury? My understanding is that he's sort of struggled. Anyhow, there's no way that we should be considering giving a division rival the chance to pick Askarov and get a C prospect picked in the top 10.

We can address our RHD different ways that would be much preferred to this. At least IMO. Everyone is entitled to their own though.

I would never do this, the Jets are much further away from competing then a Matt Dumba, would way rather keep that pick and draft an important piece for the future, I'm one of the few who thinks the Jets window is closed though.

I don’t disagree the window has closed, but Chevy won’t retool or rebuild so it doesn’t leave us many options, if the top C’s are off the board, I wouldn’t be against wpg drafting Askarov.... I know I’m crazy for that but if Sanderson and the top C’s are gone, I would be okay with drafting Askarov.

I don't think Lundell gets past Buffalo. So it'll be Holtz, Sanderson, or the goalie with the 9/10 picks.

Where do you think Quinn will go? He, Boldy, Kaprizov, and Fiala could turn into an incredible group of top 6 wings!

I'm down for drafting another winger even though I think they should draft for need.

Idk, I doubt Chevy will retool or rebuild and realistically they don't need a full rebuild but a retool to be better in a couple years is probably the way to go but I doubt the Jets go that route.
I guess anything could happen in any given year so maybe adding Dumba could be all they'd need combined with some internal growth but even if that happens I just don't trust Maurice to make the right decisions with the lineup, he really needs to go imo.

The 10th overall pick is about all I'd give for Dumba, wouldn't be throwing in much else, definitely not Roslovic or Vesalainen, still though I think it's best to just keep that pick and draft an important piece for the future, I just hope they don't trade Laine or Ehlers, would be a mistake to trade either, get good players keep good players.

Somewhere in the teens I'd guess. I haven't looked closely at the 10-20 picks team needs. He's in a group of a couple d-men, a couple centers, and half dozen wings that could go anywhere from 12-24.
