Selling pretty low all around here, while taking on major cap in Neal - I don't see how any of this helps Arizona on or off the ice

Theyre looking to cut costs, OEL/Grabner for Nurse/Neal was the rumor. The retained on both sides give $2+ million in cap space and more in terms of real dollars

No he’s absolutely not lol. Playing in a good system with good defenseman in Arizona doesn’t make him worth a first round pick. If Murray/Andersen aren’t worth a first he’s not either. He’s worth a 2nd.

Sounds like a Low tide rumour which means it's not a rumour it's stuff that would be neat but is also entirely in Edmonton favor

Kuemper is absolutely worth a first round pick your talking about the Coyotes MVP and Allstar that has been in the top 15 for goalies in the past 3 years now and a Top 5 Goalie in back to back years that has a very reasonable contract the asking price for Kuemper is a 1st round pick and a good prospect and there are even people saying that may not be enough and Hinostroza does not equal Ryan freaking Carpenter LOL

Anderson is on an expiring deal. Kuemper has a lower cap hit and has two years on his contract. He's also a top 10 goalie. He's worth a 1st you can't argue that. It doesn't matter if the Yotes are trying to shed salary you can very easily find a team willing to pay a 1st for him

The Coyotes absolutely do not have a good defense I watched every Coyotes game this season and it was Kuemper and Raanta constantly bailing us out and did you not watch the playoffs ??? Kuemper had 5 games with 40 shots+ and he carried a 4-1 record , 2.00 gaa and a .938 save percentage in those games

Holy run on sentence dude..

First off a “top 15 goalie” doesn’t get you a first round pick and that’s extremely vague. He’s not a top 5 goalie either other than on the scoresheet, again, which shouldn’t be taken into account due to team defense and system.

He’s good but you’re not getting a first round pick for him alone. Guaranteed. @ me when it doesn’t happen

I haven’t seen a legitimate source on that Nuge-Kuemper swap and I’ve looked many places. That likely doesn’t happen. I think you’re him a bit, if/when he’s moved it won’t be for a first or a top player

Again please use some punctuation my dude it makes your posts very difficult to read. Everyone in the league knows how good Arizona’s system and defense is that’s why it’s puzzling why they’d think of blowing it up. Even with a flat cap and costs being cut

Also using such a small sample size as the playoffs to prove Kuemper is “elite” is a really bad idea. By this logic, Demko is an elite goaltender.

Kuemper is great and a good option but he’s not worth a first, imo

The difference between the two is one extra year and $0.5 million in cap space. Come on lol

"He's not a top 5 goalie" Bud have you been asleep the past two years he's was 3rd in save percentage and GAA in the 19/20 season and was 2nd in GAA and Save percentage for goalies that started 50 games or more right behind only Andrei Vasilevskiy in 2018/19 , and once again the analytics prove the coyotes had nothing more than average defense in the 19/20 season

Again you lack reading comprehension

My post:
“other than on the scoresheet, again, which shouldn’t be taken into account due to team defense and system.”

Using basic stats to evaluate a goalie is a terrible idea. Halak has had some of the best numbers in the league the last couple seasons. Same with Stalock. Are they starting goalies? No. Very good backups or 1B goaltenders

Kuemper is a good goalie. He’s a starter on many teams and I’d want him on my team, but the numbers alone doesn’t make him elite or a top goaltender in this league. He’s good, he’s just not there. He’s not top 5 nor top 10, that’s ridiculous. I doubt you get a first round for him if he’s moved. Clearly Arizona is thinking about it otherwise they wouldn’t entertain the offers. Why would you trade an “Andrei Vasilevskiy” at a cheaper price?

Hellebuyck
Gibson
Lehner
Hart
Holtby
1+ of Fleury/Anderson/Binnington/Bobrovsky

Please tell me which you’d rather have Kuemper over.

I doubt Hinostroza gets qualified. He doesn't have much trade value. Keumper would still fetch more than that.

Stepan is only owed $2M, and they have no centers. Can't see him going until the deadline when his hit is prorated and it's also cheaper to retain.

Presumably, if they are trading OEL it's to avoid paying him next $10M next year. He's still owed $4m this year. That's $14M obligation over two years. Here you have them taking on 8.475M this year and next. And they only send back $5.8. So they downgrade their roster and increase salary this year by almost three million to save ~$1.52M next year?

Sounds like a terrible idea.

OEL is on the books for 7 more years. Not sure what you’re talking about.. it’s more than just bonuses that GMs are concerned about. Although Arizona should probably be more concerned given that they’ve been behind every other team

Nurse has two years left, Neal has three but can be moved during his last season.
