My guess is the Leafs would offer Pietrangelo 8.5x6 and front load the **** out of it with 15.6m signing bonus the first two years (edit: each year) with 700,000 in salary each year and 12.6 his third with 700,000 in salary and 1m each year after with 700,000 in salary. Then he makes 43,8 his first 3 years in bonuses alone. The Leafs could make that work without losing Matthews, Marner, JT, or Nylander. And to be clear I don't think they sign him. You never know though.
