Pulli is a 1st round bust that doesn't want to play for the Oilers. Johnsson in a 1 for one is fair.

The guy didn’t even play in the show this year, not sure it’s such an easy pass by the oilers

So everyone on this site has just forgotten there is a pandemic that has crushed the economy and means none of these teams have ticket sales and revenue to pay for all the stuff teams need. Arizona for example has been telling players "the check is in the mail" for crying outloud. There are maybe 8 teams that can weather this storm without breaking a sweat. St Louis isn't one of them. The leafs on the other hand have no problems with money. They are one of I think 3 teams that didn't lay off support staff during the shut down. They have money for bonuses. 2/3rds of the league is going on a below the cap budget next season.

so one of the 1/3 would give him more lmao. Plus do u really think hes gonna sacrifice 7 years just because he can make a bonus for 1 year?

Bonus for 1 year? TO can pay him half his money in the first 3 years.

St. Louis tells him they want to be able to sign him to whatever structure they want, whereas everyone knows the Leafs have the ability to sign Pietro to any structure he wants. It comes down to if he wants to play in Toronto. It seems clear he wants security, as the lack of a NMC has also come up, but is willing to compromise a little on cap hit. With that being said, I put $7.7 million, because if he doesn't want to sign in Toronto for $8 million or less, then the Leafs need to look elsewhere. With the uncertainty of the pandemic UFAs will likely all be valuing financial security as much as they value amount.
