But I would be surprised if the Bozak and Steen waive their NTCs just because the poster of post wants cap space.
IMO Pietrangelo and some other UFAs are going to awfully disappointed if the offers they receive this summer.

I think he is off to vegas. If vegas is serious about their cup in 5 years plan lul they need to make some changes on the blue line. The current thoughts by friedman was they may plan to move Schmidt and bring in Pitrangelo. Makes sense and if Stasny goes to winnipeg they got cap space for other moves. Also fits with toronto lul cause Vegas can trade Schmidt to toronto and bring in Pitrangelo. Both sides get the dman they want and can afford and everyones happy. Like imagine

    Rielly-Schmidt
    Muzzin-Lehtonen
    Dermott-Holl

    and for Vegas

McNabb-Pitrangelo (Mcnabb plays similar to Bowmeester)

Gawd I hope the Jets don't give anything of significant value for Stastny, they've wasted enough on him already.

Not a lot of teams with cap space, does Toronto even have enough for Schmidt?

Anything is possible I guess, if anything Vegas needs to get stronger down the middle, their 1C is a 2C, their 2C is a 3C and their 3C is a 4C.

Considering Pietrangelo's family situation I bet he ends up staying put in the end.

hes not worth much i believe a 3rd at most is what i saw for him. While others just cap dump him for a 5th

As for cap yep toronto has enough for Schmidt i checked just means Johnsson and kerfoot got to go but hey they were gone anyways.

As for is Stasny goes they can do (Karlsson as 1c, Stephenson as 2c, Glass or Roy at 3c and whoever isnt goes to 4c).

Overall it works for both teams as both get the RD they need.

I think it might be easier said then done to move Kerfoot and Johnsson, I get there's teams that can use them and they're useful players but there's not a lot of teams with cap space and pretty much every team has a guy or two they'd like to move to free up cap space so I just wonder if there's really going to be that much movement when the majority of teams are in the same position with not a lot of cap space.

Karlsson is their 1C, that's my point he's really not one, he's a 2C and so on, they need a true 1C but those players are usually drafted and rarely traded.

Schmidt is a LHD, maybe he plays on the right side though I'm not sure on that.

Idk, maybe Vegas or Toronto can make Pietrangelo fit but they'd both have to move some bodies out to make some cap space and I'm not sure that's going to be very easy to do.

I agree with you, but it's players waiving NTC for the Wings is the issue for Bozak and Steen. Wings can probably pick up other one year cap dumps. Lots of teams need to cap dump and few buyers.
Bozak would be good guy for the Wings and could be flipped for value at trade-in.

Neither Steen nor Bozak are waiving for a rebuilding Detroit club, And fat chance of Pietrangelo taking that deal when his camp wants either 7 x $9.25m or 8 x $9.25m to stay in St Louis.

Bozak's is modified and only ten teams big but I would imagine that yes Detroit is probably on there.

Steen might not have a choice. His NTC expire on February 1st 2021 and as far as I know the league has not made any determinations on in-season expiry dates on NTCs. If Tarasenko is out for the first month of next and comes back when Steen's clause expires...hate to do that to Steen but your options are limited.

I agree, but players have done things for their teams that they love, both would be pretty much lock in for top6 forwards and at the end of the day it is just one season of which they are free to go wherever. Both additions would also help detroit but that really doesn't say much about the state of the team....
