How so? I love laine but he's not been great the last 1.5 season and odds are he's going to want 7+ next contract, jets get an offensive rhd, kahun who could be a middle six 15-20 goal scorer and a decent pick

This season he was almost a point a game player, wouldve hit 30 goals again and that was with Copp as his center for part of the year, his all round play was vastly improved, his assist totals went way up showing he's more then a one trick pony as he's been labeled, defensive game improved greatly and he started throwing his weight around, idk how anyone could say he was not great this season, he was arguably the Jets best forward, it was Laine or Ehlers.

He's easily worth $7M+ so who cares?.. Lol

As a BUF fan, yeah I take that and ****ing run. For someone like Laine, I'd figure the trade would be closer to 8OA+ or maybe Olofsson+Jokiharju+picks+prospect

I truly hope I'm proven wrong as I want laine to hit his potential but I think A.He's not long for the jets and B.this flat cap situation is going to make his next contract a debacle and limit where he can go. Still don't think he value is off for what he can fetch

No way we would retain that much for that many years. Preds would pass. Johansen had a down year but was playing with a 3rd line players for a lot of the year. He’ll have a bounce back year.
