I thought it funny that Friedman in his 31 thoughts podcast speculated that Chara could sign in Detroit for the year alongside Krug. That would be sweet don't see it happening though. Either Chara stays in Boston or retires.

I know right, After the Trouba debacle maybe i should temper down my expectations here a little. Just don't see too many contending team being able to afford Krug if he's truly wanting about $8 million per. Detroit by far can offer him the most money at max term if that's truly what he's seeking.

I'm not sure about the Hoffman signing. Yes, it would make a ton of sense and adding a 30 goal scorer could be great for some depth scoring outside the Pasta line. But 30 year old at 6.75 for 6 years? I would rather spend that money towards Pietrangelo honestly.

Hoffman can probably be had a bit less term 4 years 7 million probably gets it done.
