That Detroit trade is about on par for what we usually see on here. I don’t know if the Wings send back a 4th round. We have some Wings fans on here that think they work in the front office with Yzerman so they’ll let you know.

I’d accept a 1st to take on Turris for the Wings but every time I’ve seen it before Nashville fans are against it

Turris has four years left. Marleau got traded 1 year for a first. So that means you send Detroit AT LEAST 4 firsts.

I like sarcasm. With those four first round picks Yzerman could then send an offer-sheet to a quality RFA.

Yea I’m actually against as well but I had to dump his whole salary to sign Pietro so I made an exception for this unrealistic signing

Yup either Cirelli or Sergachev would suffice. Possibly Matt Barzal as well.

It's typically for 11OA and I think that pick is off the table for any trade. And I think if NSH retains, they won't need to give up a 1st. He was on pace for 40+ this season playing mostly with 4th liners and PP2 time, so it's not a stretch to say he could get 50+ with better linemates. He's overpaid, but he's still a capable 2/3C on a lot of teams. I'd personally prefer to keep him and give him better linemates. Now that he's fully healthy and Hynes is giving him an opportunity to succeed, he should have a better season. If he puts up 50+ points, Seattle may even have interest - depending on the center market in the expansion draft.

That's what Detroit will want if you want them to take Turris with no retention. They aren't gonna risk Preds getting it figured out and being one of the better teams in the league next year and being left with a much lower value 1st which is a very real possibility.

According to the new CBA the cap will not raise more than $1M a season until The NHL's HRR tops $4.8B in consecutive seasons. That most likely won't happen until the new TV deal is in place. So it looks there won't be a significant cap increase until the 3rd year of the new tv deal. That is not only going to change the price of a cap dump but also who is considered cap dump.
