I wouldn't might this team, if this all came together. But can't see Vancouver wanting that trade. They probably want Demko and maybe resigning Toffolli less than the cap hit of Nylander. Beagale waiving for the Leafs...problematic.

That is an overpayment by the Leafs. Vancouver would take that and run.

If I'm Vancouver (I'm not, for clarification), I'm taking this trade right away. Toffoli is a good complementary piece, while Nylander is a legit play-driver. Beagle coming back makes this even easier. Goalies are complicated, and going off of such a small sample size will most likely create another Matt Murray-esque situation.

It's a massive overpayment. Literally anyone any fanbase thinks the Leafs may want starts with Nylander. I am so over it. There is no credibility to this site.

Goalies dont get returns like that unless they are legit proven high end starters, and even then its real rare

Going off of this, it's also why I'd never build a team around a goalie. Because all of a sudden some of the best goalies in the league are Khudobin and Halak for 2-3m a piece available in free agency. There's so much risk involved in making a long term / high asset investment in a goaltender, when in reality we're still not at the point where people actually know who the beast goalies are. Situation has Kuemper being one of the best in the league, rather than iffy backup. Starting 2 goalies for some 30-50 games split, rather than having your 65 games starter also seems like the way to go, meaning there's even less of a point in paying up for a 'good' goalie.

If you’re looking for credible sources and trade ideas, a website where any knucklehead can make an account and propose a trade probably isn’t the best place to start. Relax

I'm one Leafs fan that kinda likes the deal (not saying I'm right). Beagle and Demko cost just 4m. It would give the Leafs cap space to sign DeMelo for instance. Yea I know a lot is riding on Demko, but Andersen is gone next summer anyway. Anyway it has been a good discussion of the trade and the "reconstruction" of the Leafs.

I don't understand the point of doing anything without a reasonable purpose. Trolling people just because it's fun to be an asshole is one of the single worst things in our society.

VAN is not looking to move Demko unless they get Markstrom re-signed.

I understand what you’re saying, I used to get pretty fired up as well until I realized by buying into the trolling you’re giving them what they want

Oh I hardly buy in, it's silly. This site is primarily just silly.
