No Bean. No deal. Trying to free up money to sign Hall so the trade would have to include Bean or Fleury. If it’s Fleury I’d ask for a bigger plus than the 2nd rounder. DeBrusk is a very good player.

Why would we trade for him and then waive him makes no sense, Very highly we're signing hometown kid Krug so Moore isn't going to happen he'd be the last LD Yzerman would have interest in would rather give up a 2nd+3rd round pick for Nikita Zadorov then anything for John Moore.

So is Fleury. Problem with a Debrusk for Fleury trade is it does not really clear cap space for your scenario as they will get roughly the same on a bridge deal. Fleury would be a little less than Debrusk but not much.

B’s are in a very strange situation. There are a lot of different ways they can go this offseason, yet there is very little they can do no matter what they choose because of cap restraints. Unless they move Rask or Krejci and that’s highly unlikely even though it should be considred.

I for one think Sweeney should re-sign DeBrusk that’s why I’d be asking for Bean plus. That’s how much I like JDB.

I’d keep DeBrusk on a two year bridge unless he brings in a big name on a multiplayer deal.
