LMFAO minimal ask would be Wahlstrom+Dobson+New York Islanders 2021 1st round pick on any team other then Detroit Dylan Larkin would easily be a 70-80 point per season Centerman. Your totally delusional if you think that Detroit would retain $2.5m on Larkin he's every bit worth that contract. Wahlstrom i would love Devon Toews 26 year old LD with only 2 seasons under his belt yet delusional Isle fans think he'd be our best Dman that's purely laugh Hickey 31 year old LD how's that fit our rebuild and sorry 2022 1st round pick doesn't cut it. Outside of Wahlstrom we're trading a 24 year old for a 26 and 31 year old respectively sorry rebuilding teams don't trade young players for older player. Should've left this deleted because you're going to get roasted here dude.

I mean it’s much better than the offer I saw earlier (Toews+3rd+Boychuk for Larkin) but still a no. Larkin is pretty much untouchable since he’s a homegrown, young, legit 1C who fits into our rebuild and will be named our captain before next season. Think about it like someone wanted to trade for Barzal

So the Wild are gonna take on Ladd, who sucks and has a M-NTC , at 5.5 million for 3 more years PLUS give up a decent player in parise while retaining 3 million on him for 5 more years? Why would they ever do that in a flat cap world?

Sabres pass. They won't be taking any cap dumps. They are looking to come in next year low 70's in terms of payroll

This is precisely the trade that was approved on both ends in February when both players were asked to waive their NTC. It didn't go through because Guerin leaked it but Friedman said they'd revisit at the draft. The Wild get out of 5 more years of Parise and get a good young player. I'm not sure the flat cap changes their desire to get out of Parise's contract or Parise's desire to bolt.

Not sure I agree at all and think you're severely underrating Toews. Toews is arguably our best defensemen and is currently miles ahead of Dobson. If you think the Wings would prefer Dobson and the Isles could make the cap numbers work then I think there's a credible argument that they would PREFER that trade given their closing window. Sure Dobson may be better 5 or 6 years down the line but the Isles are in a 2-3 year window. Toews is an RFA, can be signed long term at a reasonable cost.

Larkin has a contract coming up in 3 years. I highly doubt the Wings will be competitive during these prime years of his career given how far away they are from competing. Are the Wings willing to take the gamble that he re-signs? Isles took that gamble and it didn't work out too great for them. Maybe they can get more value but to say a top 4 cost controlled dman, 11th overall pick, and a 1st rounder is bad value is just not accurate. If the isles were offered that for Tavares in 2017 they should have taken that and run. On Hickey, obviously its a salary dump to a team with money to give.
