I personally wouldn't do the deal because there's too much "boom or bust" potential, Montreal's looking to be competitive in a year and making this move could push them back a couple years if it busts out. If Domi's dealt it'll be a hockey trade 'à la' Seth Jones/Johansen trade where both teams get a quality player at the expense of a deep roster position (Montreal has centers but misses that top line scoring winger).

Jesse hasn't hit 20 goals in his 139 career NHL game and doesn't want to play for your team (I don't stick to the "I could come back" rumour and think it's mainly a PR stunt from his clan to regain interested from other GMs), what makes him a "very good prospect with high potential"?

Interesting take! It's true that cap isn't infinite and the arbitration will look at comparable players not comparable cap situations. They have to sign Bear this fall and need to keep some money aside for Kailer cause if he's keeping the same pace he's en route for a huge raise.

Hey! You can’t base Puljujarvis potential because of one horrible GM rushing him, and ruining him. He’s good, and he is coming back with a lot of confidence and he is going to rip up the NHL alongside McDavid! Puljujarvi has high potential because of his size, skill with the puck, his power forward ability. Something some teams need on their team.

Yes I can, I just did. It's ok, it wouldn't be the first bust coming out of this Oilers era...

I think he has elite potential because of his seize , skills and last season stats

He does have potential but hasn't showed enough in this league yet and it's fine because some guys just aren't able to transfer their game to the smaller rink size. He might light up the Liiga and not be able to get the same game here but I stand my ground, he'll be back at some point of his career as a free agent signing like Radulov and Grigorenko.

Bust?? Hahaha!! How is Puljujarvi a bust? He’s still super young just so you know.

Haven't called him a bust .. yet. If he ends up never playing another game in the Oilers uni he'll have to be considered a draft bust whatever numbers he'll be putting somewhere else, if you draft a guy at 4OA you need more than 37 career points from him. He can win the Liiga championship 10 years in a row if he wants but it won't change that at the NHL level he'll be considered a bust at 4OA.
You can tell me anything you want to change my mind but as of today September the 18 you cannot tell me that you wouldn't take Tkatchuk, Sergachev or Chychrun (Along with a bunch of other unnamed players) ahead of him.
