Long term Oilers save about $3 million in cap space, assuming the Nuge re-up at $8 million. In a flat cap world that's significant.

Maybe. Really, I think that deal is a 2nd and one of Pilut or Ulmark. If I had to pick if I am Poile, I take Pilut.

He’s a soon to be 36 year old that has 12.5M left in actual salary while the league is starting to set internal caps for a lot of teams spending.. he’s also been declining for 3 years at this point, and his age and games played is clearly starting to catch up to him. sorry, he’s not worth even a second. Everyone knows he’s a backup at this point, and expecting a lions share of games for him isn’t realistic.

No he’s not useless, I’m not saying that. .905 last year and getting replaced by Lehner is what it is though. Vegas isn’t gonna get a second for him just to mentor someone. Not without major retention

I would like to take the flower only if vegas retains salery (like two million) and you take ullmark out of the deal, but to make up for it I would add picks required to make the value even. You got Lehner to start just get some backup in free agency and vegas will be good.
