To be honest, I'd entertain the idea of Boychuck with Bellows and Wilde for Chiasson. Ladd just doesn't expire soon enough for my liking. I could live with Boychuck for a year then buy him out next season.

I think too many Oiler fans think this team is closer to competing than it is.

What about the $1M retention don't you like? If Puljujarvi is involved, that value needs to be met.

We need all the cap space we can get, retaining $1M can kill us. If that's the dealbreaker, I guess it works. I'm also not super high on Puljujarvi, but I'd be willing to give him a shot.
