Yeah unfortunately, this is prob what the team is going to look like again, and I would say most likely another top 10 pick next year unless Paul finally figures out how to put his players in good situations

Just don't feel comfortable with DeMelo as a Top 4. Could fill in the short term if a minor injury would happen but not permanent. I would contact the Hamonic camp first.

Shore @ $750,000 is OK. Beaulieu and Roslovic a little high?

Would like to know the status of Little- is he done? Is he coming back? If he is coming back- when? Absolutely like the guy as we need leadership as Wheeler can't do it by himself. Maurice leans on Wheeler too much. Don't know if Scheifele is captain material but is better suited than Ehlers, Connor, and Laine to wear the "A". Little would have to waive his NTC to be exposed in the expansion draft.

I think they would be on the play off edge, better D core then we started last season with. Helps not having buffs cap held hostage

Yeah that's a bit high for Beaulieu but I'd say $2M is about right for Roslovic, he would of broken the 30 point mark if not for the stoppage, could maybe shave a bit off but that seems about right plus it's 3 years, if it's a two or one year deal could bring the AAV down a bit.

Came here to ask the exact question: Would you rather have Hamonic or DeMelo? I love both players but I am going to give the edge to Hamonic if I had to choose 1 of the 2. Jets need a lot more size on the back end and Hamonic obviously provides that, is defensively responsible (as is DeMelo) but Hamonic plays with a lot more grit and it doesn't hurt that he would most likely take a bit of a discount to play in his home province.

I will admit, I have been flopping back and forth on which one I would rather target, but I think I have settled on Hamonic.

Very valid points as well! There are definitely cases for both sides. If we are able to get a big left-handed Top 4 D to play with Pionk as example, re-signing DeMelo makes even more sense. I just know we need SOMEONE with some decent size lol.

Hopefully Sanberg can be that guy button was on yesterday he thinks he has the attributes to be a top pairing defensman. He's two years older then Trouba when he stepped into the league. 6' 3" - 6' 4"

What about signing Jon Merrill for the 3rd pair LHD?
He's big(6'3"), shouldn't cost all that much and anytime I've watched him play he's pretty physical, I've liked Beaulieu for the Jets but maybe someone else would be better in that spot paired with Poolman.

Merrill is a guy I've looked at as well for a cheaper option! I would have absolutely no issue signing a guy like that for the bottom pairing over Beaulieu.
