7 years $42 million is pretty much what i expected Jonas Brodin to sign for, Good for him. Probably means that Matt Dumba's days are numbered. Would assume that Guerin protects Suter-NMC, Spurgeon-NMC and Brodin and trades Dumba.

It's retroactive, it took effect the instant he signed. So the NMC essentially is technically 5 years when the last year of his current contract is taken into account.
