Mehhhh, 20 other teams still fly by your shut down lines, stick to what you already got and bring up Luukonen to share the net with Ullmark, yeah Ukko's still young, but damn he's a really good goalie already, one more year of development and all these prospects will blossom just as good as the prospects that the Senators have, trust me, you'll see if Buffalo sticks to what they've got

At this point they’ve got to win now or Eichel is going to want out.. then franchise is done for a longggg time. I like Ullmark but at this point he won’t push this team over the top

I know about the Eichel thing, but that's why I say bring up Luukonen, he actually is that good, he definitely is better than Hutton, and at a very low price, it's almost like getting free beer, and the beer of your choosing, the team is good, if they bring up Ukko next year, you'll see, Buffalo will soon be a good team again, just like when Derek Roy, Miroslav Satan, Jason Pomminville and so on were there, they will, probably even next season and especially because of Jackie's comment's about the team

This is a win now mock.. they aren’t winning anything with Ullmark in net. Read above post.

The extras were added just to show depth, the real cap space with only one adjustment on Fast contract is 300k. Expect it to be higher, not sure Krug gets the full $7 million or Olofsson gets 3.5 straight up

The owners have no intention of winning now, and Buffalo will probably play with no more than 70 million cap, so there will be no Krug and Fleury.

I don’t think you understand the concept of a mock..

They should be in it to win now because of Eichel situation. Will they? Probably not. I think this is finally the year one of the three could fall out of a spot, potentially Boston, and they’ve already got a better or equal team to Florida to battle for it. I don’t think either franchise spends to the cap like they should to fight for that spot since it’s simply “not worth it”, which makes zero sense to me since your prospect pool is largely mediocre outside of 1/2 players

I understand everything, the owners are just tired of losing money on Buffalo Sabres and they want to cut costs, especially in the era of covid. So I won't be surprised by Eichel's trade for futures next summer. Unless our new GM will do a miracle and be able to create a competitive team in a couple of months with a cap of 70 million and the team will fight for the playoffs, but of course there will be no Krug in Buffalo and Fleury is also doubtful.

Completely change the subject because you wrong and you are trying to devalue my statement by bringing up another point.

Yeah i think that montour could net those two depending on cap situations for sure. I also had a pick going back the other way but ok.

I'll go sit this out now. Enjoy trading a starter and a high 2nd to pick up a washed goalie with a huge cap hit lmao

Not changing the subject but when you have such a
biased take I, and no one else, should listen to you evaluating your players lol. I really like Montour but he’s not even worth Stastny or Tuch alone. Not close

Fleury is a million times better than Ullmark, who is barely a starter, and a 2nd round pick along with him is a good deal regardless of his cap hit. That cap hit, by the way, is one they can absolutely afford for the next two seasons. I’d rather have two seasons of Fleury than most of the goalies on the UFA market long term, or Ullmark, especially if you want to make the playoffs.

I was trying to be polite to you but when you come off rude and insulting my mock you can see the door

@cody_tugak
Wow, you really know the Sabres.
I have been preaching this for some time.
The defense is solid.
Four solid top line forwards, Eichel, Reinhart, Skinner and Olofsson.
Cozens, Mittelstadt, Kahun and Thompson will all be on the team next year most likely as middle 6 forwards.
That gives the Sabres 8 top 9 forwards. Pull Okposo out of the bottom line and that makes 9.
Murray set the team back 4 to 5 years.
Krueger can coach a team with 9 Larsson's but his style brings down players as Okposo, Vesey, Skinner, Sheary and Rodrigues.

@RoyalBlueSabres
You are correct, this team is worse and Ullmark is better than Fleury.
Maybe if the pick was going the other way.
Or if it was Hutton one for one for Fleury.
What is this Miller for Tuch trade?
Was that one of your posts?
I guess it all depends how desperate a GM will be on opening night.
Look what the Islanders gave up for Nick Leddy (Pokka, Nilsson and Brennan).
Then Leddy goes on the average 9 goals and 41 pts the next four seasons.
Leddy was traded to make cap space.

@SalamiCheese is right, too much cap going to a GK who Ullmark out played last year.

Well that is my rant of the day.
Stay tuned tomorrow for my next one.
