nah, his 2 way game really improved this season.. the jets losing 4 of their top 5 defencemen last offseason really hurt all our fowards numbers

Y2 re-signing of Chiarot, Mete, Juulsen, Romanov, Pool-party, Jost, Suzuki and Evans.
and they likely aren't good enough to win a cup in those 2 years.

All these Montreal giant trades and signings don't seem to consider the future, they're video game trades.

The up coming prospects will take place. Next year cap space will have 25 million available and in y2 and additional 12 million. Also the Habs will have trading assets.(Danault, Armia Chiarot, Mete, Gallagher Lehkonen, Allen) Cap space replacing these players will be 7 million and leaving 31 million to sign Laine, KK, Suzuki… so no cap issues keep yourself busy on your video game.

The reason Habs fans are constantly trading for Laine is he is one of very few upper tier goal scorers reportedly available. The Jets drafted him 2nd overall and he has performed well, so obviously he is greatly valued by Jets fans. Problem is,he is a rather streaky scorer. (I always have him in fantasy and it is mind numbing) that doesn't make him any less valuable but he is kind of hit or miss.For my part if we were able to get him for a good package then great,but if we don't, fine.
