leafs really dont need him anymore. Rangers overvalued him and we Dubas said fine and got Campbell. To think they could have had kapanen oh well. In general Georgiev will be a good backup or 1b goalie with a very good 1a but he does not have the qualities to be a pure starter.

Johnsson and Kapenan were offered for Georgiev back in January. However, Dreiger said that the rangers wanted Kapenan + which would mean overpaying. 1 month later Dubas trades for Campbell

That was just Dreger saying that the Rangers value Georgiev highly and he's not even sure Kapanen would get a hypothetical deal done. There is zero evidence/reports from insiders that Kapanen or Johnsson were offered for Georgiev, to the best of my knowledge.

I wouldn't mind that I just can't see Bowman trading Nylander after dealing Jokiharju for him this early.

Dreiger reported that the offers for georgiev were to involve johnsson or Kapenan heading to the rangers. However he also mentioned "Dreger said on Twitter yesterday that Kasperi Kapanen wouldn't be enough to get the Leafs Alexandar Georgiev from the New York Rangers"
