In my opinion, this would be a far worse group collectively than we saw lose in the qualifier this summer. Goaltending has not been addressed, Schultz is not a top pairing guy and I would go so far as to say he's not even a worth top-4 all-around D. He's much more suited to 3rd pairing minutes and PP time. Barabanov is completely unknown. Thornton + Spezza makes this team slower, and not in a good way considering this group relies heavily on a speed-style transition game. Clifford will for sure not be back because the Leafs won't be able to afford him and Lehtonen, who you have the bench, is probably equally as good, if not better than TVR, so why spend the money?

People love to underrate him. Kerfoot as well. Not just other team’s fans. Leafs fans too.

You might be able to get a 4th for Engvall (probably not), but it's not going to be from LA.
