saying casey is a “very good nhl player” is like saying the pegulas are very good nhl team owners...keep feeding us this false hope

i saw the article, i believe we were the 5th ranked team based on pipeline. Its going to be an absolutely crazy year, half the teams are not planning on spending to the cap, the season should be compressed as it wont start until january and i hear they are still shooting for 82. Plus who knows if the ahl will even play games, and thats where mittelstadt and thompson should be. Thompson i believe has to clear waivers, but how would that work if theres no ahl to go to?

i don’t know if you’re a baseball person or no but if there’s no ahl next season the nhl will most likely take the same route as the mlb and create an “alternate site” where the players who are supposed to be in the ahl will just stay there to remain loose and ready for a call up to the nhl...players who are supposed to be in the ahl could also go to international teams (shl, del, khl, etc) and have an nhl cause in their contracts (that’s the most realistic option in my opinion)....to answer your question i feel like waivers will be obsolete this year

TBH with you all, this is no surprise for me.
We obviously know about the top three Dahlin, Cozens and Jokiharju. So no surprises here.
I have been saying for months that Mittelstadt and Thompson would be contributors next year.
I have watched Tage in the prospect challenge and noted his performance in Rochester.
I do not have any visual record of Casey, but if you compare his progress to that of Cirelli the resemblance is interesting.
I am not pronouncing Casey and Tage as top line players, but certainly middle 6.
Neither of them should have played a game for Buffalo in 2017-'18.
When I made that comment two seasons ago I was roasted in by other AGM.
Casey has talent while I do not know if he has bulked up, but if he has, then he will also be a mid six forward.
I have also heard good things about the defensemen, but as the ranking indicates they will not be top pairing defensemen but NHL players.
    Does that mean Mike Weber?
I have heard that comment made about all of the Sabre prospects not named Cozens.

So, this article is not a great revelation to me.
Let's enjoy this ranking and hope everything is valid.
