Egh. Count me strongly among the "Don't trade Danault" camp (even though you've taken a King's ransom for him here). Seems to me that the move is to trade out the rights to Domi if he's not willing to learn how to properly and effectively play the wing.

According to reports Danault wants close to $6 million per on his next deal, How are Vancouver going to afford to give him that much. Needing to resign both Hughes and Pettersson to big contracts next summer.

Danault and Pageau have similar numbers and are both 3rd line centres. Danault's contract will probably around the same 5.5M x 6 that Pageau signed for. I agree Vancouver is not the ideal place for Danault, but Habs can easily get a 1st rounder for him +
