How I see the value :

Domi > Boldy
16th + Poehling + the difference between Domi and Boldy = 9th OA + 3rd round pick

Yeah we could switch Lehky with Byron but I figured having 4 great lines would be an amazing asset to have.

As for the unrealisticness of this ACGM, Domi to MIN has been discussed a lot and Timmins was a big fan of Boldy last year at the draft as well.
One of the thing MB will be looking for is a big W with skills... Mantha always come to mind as well as Anderson (whos not in the same category of course but still). Meier is definitely the kind of player MB wouldnt mind trading his first pick for. 23 years old with terms is exactly what hes looking for imo.

Im not really sure we do have to? Id rather 9th and a significant prospect. Quality >>>> quantity

If we did this trade we would have 9th, 30th (most likely), 31st, 34th, 48th, and 54th... and we get a good RD prospect in Josh Brook. This is the kind of trade that when offered, you need to accept and start a rebuild around. I'm absolutely not a fan of trading Meier, but this is perfect, its the kind of trade that starts a rebuild.

Id really only trade Timo to MTL if Gallagher was part of the return. Filling the top six rw void is far more important than acquiring a bunch of picks and Brook that wont be ready for 2-3 years.

Nobody is going to comment on how Tatar on an expiring contract gets you 2x 1st round picks?

Stop at the Minny trade, move up to 9th and pick Lundell or Sanderson.

Then do nothing else, except maybe sign a FA or trade Danault before he costs too much to be a 3C

Stars pass. Two first round picks is too much to give up. Even with the extension

9 OA, 31 OA, 57 OA, Josh Brook and Mete are pretty solid pieces for Meier tbh

TBF, its basically a second plus a 2021 first. Keep in mind we're giving a mid 2nd and a 4th as well. SO its basically Tatar for your 2021 first and a late second

31st OA and a 2021 first (thats got great chances of becoming a late pick as well) for Tatar (with a new deal as shown in the details of the trade) and 47th OA is closer to being a bad deal for MTL than it is for DAL tbh

I guess it comes down to if the front office thinks they can still get a quality player with Montreal’s second rounder. The value is probably okay but giving up two first round picks looks bad on paper and a Tatar extension takes away even more cap that we will need for Miro

Montreal doesn't have elite goal scoring, the only consistent producers are Gallagher and Tatar.

and to get Meier, they have to ship Tatar, to get a pick, to get him. (too many moves that make it dependent for this to happen)
Tatar provides the goal scoring as is, and Montreal would be better served with and a 9th overall and getting Schneider in their system.

with prospects like Brooks, Romanov, Juulsen, Struble, Norlinder, you can never go wrong having another large mobile defender in the system.

Wild pass. Their futures are better than the MTL's futures + Domi in the trade.

I would be surprised if the Sharks traded Meier, but I think if the trade starts with two firsts, maybe add in Armia instead of two blueline prospects.

Meier for No. 9, No. 30/31 (ideally DAL goes to the finals) and Armia would be tough to pass up. That'd be four picks in the top 34 -- which could replenish the system or be used to bring in new pieces.

Id much rather push for Caulfield and a pick. We need a Meier replacement if we give him away, not a bunch of possible 3rd liners
