He's an interesting case. Tons of raw talent, great stick handler, good speed, good shot, passing, etc. His positioning and decision making though are the issue which leads me to believe he isn't that bright. It's like he needs an extra second before he reacts to the play. When he reacts and if it's not too late, he's doing well. Maybe it's just the speed of the game he is still working on. Hard to say with him. If he puts it all together, he's without question a top 6 player.

Why not sign nosek and get other assets with georgiev?

I felt that there are a number of more established goalies that will be available this offseason, so if we trade Georgiev the return wouldn't be too high. Going the free agent route is certainly another viable option.
