Dermott is about even with Siegenthaler, I think, which ties him for 3LD behind Orlov and Kempny, unless the Caps re-sign Dillon.

They don't have anyone in the system to move up and replace Hathaway right away. I think he's good, too.

I was thinking at more of the bigger picture; figured they could trade for johnsson, as he will come cheap to replace heinen or rakell who they could trade to upgrade elsewhere

Not being biased at all when you factor in Rakell and Heinen we have 6 NHL caliber LWs in what world is that not too many? The Ducks are rebuilding and if they blow it up they’re going to want the kids to get playing time, and if they don’t blow it up the don’t need AJ either

Ok in my opinion johnsson > milano
So you trade one of your better lw (rakell or heinen) to make your team better in other areas and johnsson can fill that middle 6 lw spot
I think neither comtois nor jones have showed they can produce enough right now to be given that spot out of training camp so you play johnsson there until one of them earns it, and then johnsson can slide down the lineup. It makes the nhl team better right now and and provides depth in case of injuries
