I don’t understand why people keep trading for Chychrun and Keller. If the Yotes are going to shed cap, their young core pieces are the last to be moved

I agree, Keller would move before Chychrun, but at 22 he has almost 250 games of NHL experience. Lead the team in points 2 of the last 3 years, with the missing season being this year when he was 1 point behind Schmaltz. Averaging 50 points a year with his cap hit isn’t ideal, but Arizona also doesn’t score a ton. I think he’s at least 2-3 years away from being moved, and that’s if he doesn’t develop and take another step forward. By ~400 games into a career you know what you have
