Im an economist by profession, these picks are just a convertible store of value. I dont want to leave the 2020 draft with more than 10 or so picks having been added to our prospect pool

Yeah, Russell and Bozak have 15 team trade lists/10 team no trade lists.

They need to be convinced to waive in some instances, but they will be given better deployment in OTT to showcase for whatever contracts they have next (if any), and they would be shipped to contenders at the deadline

the blues could probably fetch an actual third or 4th in return for bozak, idk why they would move 2 thirds with him. Hes not really a cap dump just overpaid but only for one year. Rest all look about right imo.

I dont think that a 2 pick upgrades is a massive cost, theyre not actually giving up draft picks, just moving back.

I dont know if they could actually recoup assets for him. Hes paid 5M, and putting up a sub 40pt pace.

I mean sub 40 points for a 3c isn't really bad though as long as he's in the 30s. He does a lot of other things right though, good on draws, solid on defence, a good locker room guy. Hes about 1.5-2 million overpaid sure, but on a one year deal any trade is super low-risk for the team getting him. He could definitely fetch a return, of a mid to late round pick without moving back at all.
